Lady Caroline

Now that's a Discovery. Velvett Fogg. The band that took place somewhere at the end of sixties. And this is a great song from their selftitled album. Lady Caroline. I'll put some lyrics for it's hard to find them out in the Web.

Oh, can't you see
How darkened is the sky?
Because it's cast upon my soul
For whole eternity
What I did to Lady Caroline
After she had trusted me.

I went and took a lovely young maiden
And made her my own
In the quiet of my castle
Where I thought we were alone
And so we were but the Lady Caroline
Who came knocking on the door.

She said 'Oh Sir, who was that maiden
That I followed 'til your door?'
I said 'My dear, you are mistaken,
There is no one here but me'
But I could not snow her
For she knew what she had seen.

She burst into my room
And there upon the bed
Was the trembling young maiden
Who's face has gone quite red
And the lovely Lady Caroline
Took a knife and striked her death.

And now she waits behind the bars
On the prison in the town
Sentence to death for a murder
And t'was no one's fault but mine.
Now I will have no one...
Until the end of time.

And a little music video maybe.
